I've tried all different foods, starting with little portions. She has been like this since she was a baby. She hates eating. I thought she'd grow out of it but she hasn't. She'll even pick at chocolate if she is given some. She eats like a bird and I'm completely worried.

I had the same problem. She needs a digestive stimulant to get her stomach working. Go to an organic store and purchase pure Nettle in a small bottle with dropper. Put a dropper everyday in her drink. Nettle is a stinging grass that is full of iron. It just opens your appetite. It is safe because it is just an herb.

Wait just a minute. Your kid is losing weight, thin as a rail, belly distended, bones poking out of her skin? Do you mean she doesn't eat as much as you think she should eat? Are you a (sorry for the term) drama queen? If you need something about which to worry, that's a good subject. Won't hurt a thing to keep worrying about it.
Kids will eat when they are hungry. Don't make in issue of it unless she's losing weight and not growing--in that case take her to a pedicatrician but quit the fussing about eating. Don't do anything about her not eating except worry.

I would take her to the doctor first just to make sure she is ok.

I was the same way growing up! My parents called me their "little air fern" because it seemed as if I could just live off of air.

Some kids don't develop a steady appetite till later in life. I eat more smaller meals everyday instead of three big ones. I just can't eat a lot at one time.

If the doctor says she is ok then I would not worry about it. But if I may...let me say that the worst thing for me growing up was my mom forcing food in me telling me that I would die skinny and all sorts of bad stuff. I hated that because I just was not hungry.
When she gets hungry she will eat.
Good luck and take care.

Does she look sick? if her weight is o.k. with in her age range then do not worry to much. You should take her grocery shopping and let her pick out fruits or vegetables than she would like to try, also invite her to help out when you are cooking that way she will see what both of you are cooking and that will help her in her eating choices. If this does not help then take her to her doctor and see what he may prescribe maybe some vitamins so that her body can at least obtain the necessary nutrients.

Well, maybe the kid is just not hungry. Perhaps take her to the doctor if she is getting sick from it. If not, make sure she gets all the things she needs, food wise, and here is a novel idea, if the kid is hungry enough, they will eat. So, I wouldn't worry abou it much.

My niece was the same way. The doctor told my sister she will eat when she is hungry. As long as you are taking her for her checkups and the doctor isn't worried, don't worry. She will grow out of it.

dont worry too much.
i got little sister who just like that when she is small.
we just keep encourage her to eat till finish at every moment she have her breakfast/lunch/dinner,even most of people will get unpatient since she will eat so slow/not move her mouth at all.
all u need to do is give her what she like to eat, consult to nutrition doctor, give her some kind of vitamin/supplement that could give desire to eat (i think it sell at some pharmacy).
now when my sister is grown up,even she still eat so little,at least her appetite is not as worse when she was small.
