Since you psoted in laptops am assuming you are using a laptop. Then the only possible upgrade i could suggest would be more memory. Also may want to consider new operating system if you are not using XP. So hope this helps

The best option is to add more RAM cards to the computer. They can be purchased at any computer store pretty cheaply, and do alot for a computer's speed. If you bring your laptop with you they can install it in the store for you to make sure that it works correctly.

Uninstall programs you don't use. Check for bad sectors. Run your antivirus to see if it has any viruses or spyware. Defragment it. And then do a disk cleanup.

You can make it a little fast by increasing the Memory ( RAM). You can also make it faster if you install a higher speed processor.Just make sure that you get the maximum that your motherboard can handle.

Many things:
1) Get more RAM
2) Get a better processor
3) Reformat your computer

There are a bunch more, but these are the three that hasn't been said before that I say should work as well.

Get more RAM. At least 1GB of it (though I recommend 2GB).
