Dude!! You need to download a device driver for your multimedia Monitor and Sound Card. (I must say that they did a very bad job).

I understand that its not going to be easy but you can first check what is the make/brand for your Monitor and then go to the manufacturer's web site and download the driver for your monitor and install it.

Secondly, this one is going to be tricky, Try to find old documents or make or model of your PC and its specifications that would give you an idea what type of sound card was installed. If you don't know that call the manufacturer and ask them.

Once you know what was the device then you can download the driver either directly from the PC manufacturer's web site or Sound card manufacturer's web site.

Lastly if the PC manufacturer's gave you a driver CD then you are in business right away and install the sound and Monitor driver from the Driver CD.

To do that, you need to go to the device manager( right click my computer Icon, and select Properties and click hardware Tab) and Select the Device Manager Button. All the devices that are not recognized by your computer will have a "?" icon besides them. Right click the devices and install the drivers for those devices.

You should be all set after you restart the computer.

This should help.

What you can do is write down the brand of your pc and log onto the manufacturer website and navigate to the download/support link and search for the model of your pc and find the audio driver. Download this driver and install it. This will add the driver back and hopefully, your sound will be functional again. Good luck.

look in the start tab, accessories > entertainment

maybe you have volume control there

if so, copy a shortcut to somewhere handy

though I guess it is drivers... look in control panel > system > hardware and figure out what kind of sound card you have and try getting the latest drivers for it.

Umm...wow. Wat you have to do is install the original drivers that came with the computer. It should be on a CD that came with the computer.
