I will be visiting la rochelle next year with my 7 year old child, is there any kids attractions there.

La Rochelle isn't very Kid orientated. Main attraction is the aquarium (very hot inside and a 40 minute queue to get in and longer if it rains). Just by that there's the maritme museum aboard a large boat and various other ancient ruins like the towers round the old harbour to look round (not very exciting). Take a sea taxi thats a giggle. There's no water park! Fourer (just down the coast) has excellent kids beach with pool and there's a massive crazy golf which is worth checking out. Kids aside it's a shoppers paradise. Enjoy your trip.
