I believe many people now prefer to call the jackets "Windcheaters".
Although this reminds me of the newspaper headline from a British local paper a few years back: "SAVE OUR TREES - THEY BREAK WIND"

I think it was called a windbreaker, before farting was considered breaking wind. So, you should think of a different way to say "farting"

Break wind- fart. But windbreaker means you wont be called and it breaks the wind from entering your body and making you cold.

These are words that mean different things when you change the wording to backwards. Now you can realize why people from other countries find our language so difficult to understand.
I had a foreign friend that would say, "don't underestimate me". He meant, "don't overestimate me."
