i have Chinese friends, but i end up in disputes with some of them... they are nice people, but i really can't understand how they think...
please, i really would like to know...

it's just sometimes they act nice, sometimes they don't. they like to keep silent, and suddenly change moods. why's that?

i am asking, because i have been in a relationship with one, and it didn't work. what's the best way to make it work next time, aside from being Chinese myself, because that can't happen.

Generally speaking, Chinese men have much less respect for women than American men do. They think the "women's place" is the home - cooking, cleaning, raising children, but never expressing their opinion. Your opinion is pretty much worthless to them. They may be nice on the outside, but they won't share how they think with you because they don't care what you think or how you feel.

Wow...what can i say.
I'm writing this bcoz i have many chinese friends of both genders and they are lovely. MY neighbour is chinese too, though they probably fing me annoying but that's another issue.
You need to read more or study more or sumthing.
My best friend is chinese guy. I've had many crushes on chinese guys too, sometimes they like me back. If it wasn't for their respect towards me that wouldn't have happened Of course i'm careful enough not to fall for sexists or bigots or ignorants of whatever ethicnicities because god knows i just can't stand them from a mile away. How do i judge thier level of intelligence you may inquire?.... through the blanket statements and ignorant comments they make... most of the time. I can tell you every individual is unique and diff, race doesn't determine the gentlemanliness or the lack thereof of anyone. Maybe a repressive culture breeds such unfair treatment towards woman. But some men in the western hemisphere too views women as mere cosmetic playthings, as sex objects.
Do you see how unfruitful it is to generalize?

Chinese Men think about Women using their brains like all other men. If you cannot ask this question properly how can you think about what the Chinese men think.
In Asian Societies, Men are considered to be superior then Women. As such you have to take it with a pinch of salt. Moreover have you not seen that Poster that some people have, which shows a man sitting on a royal chair saying in large letters " I am the master of my house, at the bottom in somewhat small letter it is written " with the permission of my wife."
l think that this is the idea that all Women should follow, let the men think that they are the Masters. Also there is another famous saying, " Behind every successful man there is a Woman !!!
