Your rights and liberties work together to make you free. You are granted certain inalienable rights (power granted by law) in this country and use your liberties (political independence) to maintain those rights. Together, you have freedom.

Rights are something that is garaunteed to you, no one can take it away. Freedom is something that the military has fought and died to protect and can be taken away. Liberties are something you are allowed to do.

rights is what you are supposed to have
freedom is what you think you have
liberties is what you are still looking for
