Actually I asked my doctor, and exercise doesn't really help ease cramps but only distracts you from the pain.

Definitely recommend Midol or Advil (not tylenol!) for cramp pain.

If you don't have any of those, then the best way is to keep your tummy and feet warm. Even without a heat pad, you can do that. Wear socks, and put warm blankets over your tummy. You can heat your blankets by sticking them in the dryer for a couple minutes.

Hope that helps~!

Midol, Tylenol, Advil, a hot bath/shower. You can make your own heat pad by either soaking a hand towel in hot water and putting it on your stomach or by using a gallon zip lock bag and filling it with hot water. Exercise will take your mind off the pain.

First, determine the cause...
Is it due to stress or are there other abnormal occurrences? See a doctor.

In general, a relaxing activity helps. For you it may be lying down or doing exercise. Sometimes, diet may cause cramps associated w/ colon functioning. Diet may cause disruption in monthly menstrual cycle and cramps. Are you drinking enough water? Are you eating enough vegetables? What about your starch/glucose intake? What about your alcohol intake? Try it. You'll be surprise at the 'quick' results.

If a heating pad don't work for your cramps. Try taking advil liquid gels and put a ice pack on, but whatever you do dont let someone talk in you to taking the depo to stop your periods. BAD MOVE it is a killer shot!!!!!!!!!

Medicine. Over-the-counter works for many people. Exercise is suppsed to be good for cramps as well. If your sitting in class or whatever, what I found to help was to either stretch out as much as possible or hunch over to put pressure on the pain.
