I have been off answers for a week untill this past weekend and i realized it had been replaced wid this catagory so what happened to the Teens & Preteens catagory?

Well, adolescent means the same thing as teen and preteen. Yahoo probably just changed the catEgory to consolidate it as one word.

my guess is that it was renamed b/c the sub-category of "teen and preteen" was intended for questions pertaining to parenting of teen and preteens, not a category for teens to post un-related questions to other teens, like "anyone wanna chat?" etc...
by renaming it, i think Y!A is trying to get the sub-category to match the other subs, by making it more of an age-group:
-newborn
-grade-schooler
-adolescent
not, a teen gathering place.
that's what Yahooligans is for....

i swear i just saw a teen & preteen category 2 days ago..so they must have just changed it! i didn't even notice unitll you said something! basically the same thing though.

I certainly have not experienced it yet i recognize a number of people who've. My expensive chum in Hawaii misplaced her husband 15 years in the past or so. Adolescent was shorter and easier to write? It's the same thing so it don't really matter.
