Isabelle's aging suddenly accelarated in the final episode of last season and she walked into Sean's office naked. In the first episode of this season we found out that the evil people from the future somehow stole her mother's youth and gave it to Isabelle. Lily died of old age. It was never completely explained but Matthew told Isabelle the only way to save Lily was to inject herself with a syringe of the same substance that Tom and Richard injected her with in last night's episode which stripped her of her powers. Now that Isabelle has lost her powers but isn't dead (I'm sure this is going to come back to bite them -- the future people told Tom to kill Isabelle not disable her) perhaps there will be more explanation.
And what the heck did the future people come and kidnap Alana for at the end of this episode???!!!

she probably got a case of what the kids on the daytime soaps do. SORAS- Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome

i think she took her age from her mother because her mother just dramatically got old and died when Isabelle grew to be 20.
I'm not positively sure though because i could understand half that episode.
