i connected a phone cord to my modem and connected it to my windows computer but it wouldn't work

Get a crossover network cable, and link your mac with your windows pc, then BRIDGE these two conections, (modem with ethernet) then youll get internet in the windows one, if not, reverse the order

conect with windows via modem, same crossover cable between the 2, and BRIDGE CONECTION between both.


I have a mac and a windows pc, you didnt state which mac you have, i have a MacOS 10.4.6 and windows XP SP2

There must be an issue with the windows modem configuration
Trying to internet share crossplatform would be more difficult than fixing the windows modem problem.
If you cannot dianose a simple windows modem problem what makes you think that you will be able to crossplatform modem share.

If you try to connect to the internet through another computer you have to set that computer to be a network server, and create a LAN with that computer. Otherwise, you can buy a router and connect both computers to the router. In order to make this work you have to learn how to set up a LAN (Local area Network).
