There is nothing wrong with a girl liking to play video games. I know I did as a child, and still enjoy playing my son's gameboy once in a while.

There are some cute ones where you have a virtual dog or cat to take care of.

Another thing is to maybe get a catalog that has pictures of gameboy games and have her "Help" you look through it. Get ideas from her.

I would definitely give her Nintendogs! I got Nintendogs when I was 10 and I loved it! Then my parents got it for my sister when she was 10! We both loved it! It teaches you to be responsible for a pet and teaches you how to take care for a dog. I still enjoy that game and I'm older now! There are different Nintendog though, so you might want to get her the newest one, Dalmation and Friends, or one of the originals (they're all the same, they just have different types of dogs). So, I would definintly get her Nintendogs!

depends on her level of maturity. All of the pokemon games are really cool, even if she isn't into pokemon because they are just one big puzzle to solve. My kids like the Ruby version, and it helps with reading. They also like the Mario party game.

None. Videogames aren't good for your kids. Get them a board game or anything that she can create and use her mind.
