This might help if u keep a copy in ur pocket every day and read it when u crave the casino:
1. people who are compulsive gamblers are psychologically trying to fail by doing something they are bound to lose at in the long run (cuz all games are odds against u). There is no way to play for a long time and be a winner.
2. people who fail do not have to do other things to be successful so they can complain and feel that life is unfair. thats why they lose their money. no demands, no risk, no reward, life is to blame.
3. the rest of the world thinks of u as a sucker when u r a compulsive gambler, and u r. To change this u must stop wanting to be a sucker.
4. if u have any extra money put it in the bank or buy mutual funds and build a future for yourself and your family. then u will be a true winner. u will be proud. ur family will be proud. u will regain self esteem. its just breaking the defeat spiral.
5. u can never win by "trying to get even." thats a good way to lose more.
6. the easiest games, like slots, are the worst ones to play.
9. casinos treat people like rats in a maze. they reinforce your play with special points and perks if u go there. tear up the special point cards. never go back EVER for any reason.
10. drop all your friends that gamble.
GOOD LUCK

just stop going, take it one day at a time and make plans to do other things that you can't change at the last minute. There are also support groups that might help.
If you feel compelled to go, take only a limited amount of money and when that's gone, leave. The few times I went to a casino, I put the money I could spend in one pocket, any winnings in the other - when the money to spend pocket was empty, I left whether I had winnings in the other pocket or not.
Good luck!

STOP GOING TO CASINOS. Take all the money you would have spent there and put in in a savings account or IRA. Buy some stock, someithing, besides putting it into a machine and getting nothing in return. My philolophy? If i put so much as a quarter in a machine and pull the handle, I better d a m n well get something back, at least a gumball.

I always take $60, when it's gone I'm done. I don't bring atm cards or a wallet or anything. I bring $20 for my drinks and $40 for the machines. Just make sure you have money for all of your other necessities before you take out money for the casino.

Think of it as a form of entertainment & only take a prescribed amount for "Entertainment". Like the cost of a movie & dinner.
However much you spend or lose, chalk it up to fun for the
evening.

take 20 bucks and that's it into the casino.... no wallet.... once the 20 bucks is gone you leave.... if you win more you can stay longer.... if you don't...... leave it's that simple... you have to have self control.
