Depends where you are based as to whether you can get this product, but wherever you are in the world, any green based product will tone down the redness - in the UK for example you can buy No.7 Green Stick or Base, it really is green - which you probably think sounds weird - but REALLY works.

It completely tones down the red to normal skin colour then you can apply your normal foundation.

Worth noting that if your redness is caused by sun damage then make sure that your skin has stopped burning before you use any oil-based moisturising product - i.e. moisturiser or foundation - as moisturiser on burning skin will actually intensify the heat and give you worse burns. Stop the skin burning with wet cold towels and/or burn medication before applying your foundation or moisturiser.

Before you apply any foundation be sure to sooth the damaged skin first. In fact, the addition of any product on top of damaged skin may in of itself cause further new damage to the skin. Be sure to avoid any product that contains mineral oil as this plastizes the skin (makes it mushy) and avoid any petroleum products as well.

When you have a burn caused by sun exposure, chemical products, or wind burns your best bet is to let the skin fully heal before you apply anything else that will further make the situation worse.

Personal Match foundations by Avon, and Beyond Color foundations work the best to hide redness. It evens the skin tone, excellent coverage, and looks natural and not heavy at all. These two are the best ones i have found!!!!

Some foundations actually contain a little green color in them that plays a trick and takes away redness, I carry this little green lipstick thing that does the trick I use some of it on my makeup sponge and then I combine that with my foundation and that will even out red. I learned that physicians formula has a powder that has some green in it for that purpose too!!!
