underarms daily, legs every two days. For your chin, you should try waxing or plucking. It WILL NOT make it come in thicker. That is just a myth. If you do it regularly it will actually make it come in thinner. This is because every time you pull the hair follicle it will damage it and eventually make it unable to grow back. That's why a lot of older women don't have to pluck their eyebrows any more...the hairs just won't grow back.

Here's a clipping I found for you:

"Stopping Plucking Pain

If it hurts when you pluck, try numbing the area with a little mouth analgesic.

When and How to Tweeze

Tweezing, or plucking, is a way to temporarily remove individual hairs by pulling each strand out by the root; however, this technique is useful only on small areas like the eyebrows. Tweezing does not make hair grow back thicker, but it can irritate the hair follicle, which is why it's important to choose a high-quality pair of stainless-steel tweezers. Be sure the prongs meet perfectly at the tips and are smooth and polished; they should also have a light spring when pressed together. The shape of the tweezers is up to you, but for brows, a slanted point is most effective (square varieties are better for finer hairs)."

I shave probably once or twice a month LOL!

The hairs on the chin are due to a failing endocrine system
I suggest you get a Hormone Panel done by a health professional
by Saliva Analysis ONLY-blood tests are very innacurate.

Once the results show the imbalance, i suggest you treat
them with a natural approach-such as glandulars.
You can get these at any health food store however
a good Naturopathy Doctor will know how much you
need to take and will order more tests to make sure
they are working.

There is also a good product called Plus that
helps the hormones. www.mannatech.com

Everyday. Also, facial hair can not only be hereditary, but can depend on your ethnic background. I do not recommend shaving that. The skin on the face of a woman is delicate and shoudl be treated gently. There are several methods. One is laser hair removal. It hurts a little, but it lasts a long time and won't have your hair coming back darker and thicker due to irritating shaving. There is also a bleach you can get for facial hair. It is for fine hairs that can sometimes come in on your upper lip or chin. Good luck! :)

I think every individual's hair growth is dependent on one's hormones and the speed of the growth would be different for everybody.

Having said that, shave whenever it grows out of your own "acceptable lengths" or if the sight of the slight length starts to annoy you ...:)

IF you mum has a little bunch of hairs on her chin and you have the very same thing, it's probably because of your genetic makeup. Afterall, your genes come from your parents..

Thank you mother for THAT extra hormone!! My mother had the same thing as do I ...I pluck those chin hairs a few times a week and I (cause I'm anal...) shave under my arms and my legs EVERY day...except when I get a cut or knik on my leg..

if you're a smoker, you have a higher risk of developing extra facial hair, but if your not, its just hair, just pluck them. its nothing unusual. i have one really long hair that i get on my cheek, but its like white blonde and really thin so i never even see it until its really long and i just happen to pull on it.

as for shaving... hahaha... i should shave more. lol. my underarms, about every other day, because i wear a lot of tanktops to work. legs... maybe once a week. or less. unless its mid summer and a million degrees and i know i'll be wearing shorts. other than that, i dont really care if i have some hair, and until my BF says anything, its gonna be there until i feel like shaving.

hormones is the reason for hair on your chin. just pluck them with tweezers or get vaniqa from your GYN. I shave a few times a week-and it depends on what I am wearing! Skirts and shorts - always. Jeans - no. Tank tops - yes. sweaters - no!

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

I shave about every other day. You're hormones are changing as you get older, so a chin hair, or two will pop up. Tweeze them, or get them removed. ~
