Confidence points are used to give a different weight to each game played in a given week.
In each week of the season, you will be given 100 confidence points. Then, in addition to selecting the winner of a given game, you will be asked to assign a point value to it as well. You can allocate anywhere from 10 to 50 points on any one game based upon how strongly you feel about the accuracy of your selection.

If your selection is correct, you will receive points equal to the confidence point value you associated with that game.

So, if you pick San Francisco to beat Chicago and assign the game a confidence point value of 50, you would get 50 points if San Francisco wins. You would get no points if Chicago wins.

Each week's points will be tallied, and the player finishing with the highest total at the end of the year will be the winner of the group.

You rank your picks. Lets say its the colts vs the 49ers and you really think the Colts will win. In that case you put down 16 points for that game. So if the Colts do win you get 16 points. And the game you feel least confident in you give one point. I hope this helps.
