We registered our domain with a provider in the US some years ago,and later subscribed to an ISP in Lagos Nigeria.MX record and mail store-foward services were also provided by our ISP,hence all the domain registration records was transfered to the ISP.
Now,we need to host our web site with Domainstandard, and they require our domain information. Our ISP is asking us again for IP Address of DSN,whatever that means. I think they are supposed to have this information since they are responsible for all our domain and mailing issues.

a DSN server is a computer that basically has a table that turns 'http://www.yahoo.com' into the IP address that it needs to get to the website. The internet runs on numberd address between 000.000.000.000 and 255.255.255.255 with a few numbers (those mentioned included) that are reserved. The IP address of your DNS server is basically the webaddress of the computer with the tables to get from a wordded address to a numberd address. You would need to call your ISP to find out what the address of the server is.

I think you mean DNS (Domain Name Server). You need the address of the server that hosts your Domain, so your Web host company can access it. Go to the site where you registered your domain, log into your account, and you should be able to find the IP address of your domain server. It will be a series of numbers separated by periods like: 128.0.15.1 or something like that.

Your domain is registered with a registrar. They are the ones that look after your domain information, not your ISP.

Your ISP will need you to change the name server settings to point your domain from the registrar's database to their server, so that your web address and email addresses will work correctly.

First, figure out who your domain registrar is (if you want help with that, email me the actual domain name). Then contact the registrar and ask them how you update the name server information.
