This question can actually be answered mathematically to within a certain margin of error. Assuming standard air density at sea level and a temperature of 72 deg F and an absolute humidity somewhere in the usual range for this time of year. Also guessing you are shouting at a frequency around 1000 Hz. Not factoring in ambient wind velocity and assuming approx 3200 miles from NY to London??? a top of my head calculation would be about 300 dB(10^18 W/ m^2). This figure also assumes the use of some sort of megaphone that would focus the sound in the direction intended as you specified in your scenario.
Be advised the energy released in this situation would immediately destroy you and a great deal of the area near you in a impressive burst of searing flame. I suggest you have someone videotape it for posterity from a safe distance away (aprox 1.5 miles) and upload it to youtube.com... Good Luck.

You are looking at the wrong end of the audio spectrum. Whales, which have a sub-audible call that Humans can't hear, are able to communicate with other whales half way around the world.
For a sound to be heard over 3000 miles in air, the sound would have to be something as loud as a volcano erupting. When Krakatoa, near Java, exploded, it's been said the sound traveled aroung the world 7 times.
THAT... IS LOUD.!

probably not. There is too much noise in the US and the UK, not to mention the noise of the Ocean. Your sound waves would be counter acted with all those other sound waves. If you think about it, we didn't hear any wars here in America that took place over there, so I really doubt you could be heard. That would be cool though, we could have a conversation across the ocean! Thank god for telephones!!!

Do that and everyone goes deaf from the feedback, then no one can hear you.
