Most toilet bowl cleaners and bleach will react to form chlorine gas. Chlorine gas is poisonous and dangerous, and will damage your eyes and lungs. The gas may appear to be "smoky" but it can be lethal, so don't try it, period. Always check the labels of household cleaners before mixing them with anything but plain tap water.
