The world record is just under ten feet, so I highly doubt it. Besides, why would the government keep it a secret? Doesn't make sense.

Not only would the circulatory system not support such a height. The skeletal system would fail. In a one G field the cube square law puts a limit on bipeds (a dinosaur with a tail is not a biped). I also would like to know how it would benefit any government to keep it a secret. They are to busy keeping us from finding out how much they are owned by the people who gave them campaign funds.

No, the tallest man on record is still Robert Pershing Wadlow, who was 8 feet , eleven inches tall.

To quote the Guiness Book of World Records:

"The tallest man in medical history for whom there is irrefutable evidence is Robert Pershing Wadlow. He was born at Alton, Illinois, USA, on February 22, 1918, and when he was last measured on June 27, 1940, was found to be 2.72 m (8 ft 11.1 in) tall."

At present it's impossible due to reasons mentioned above. With another few million years of evolution who knows, but at present "NO!", and thanks to the above contributors for helping me to fully understand this.

As for government secrets and giants well there are apparently (according to conspiracy theorists) media and mortgage giants, but no human ones lol. Perhaps you've read a theosophical conspiracy text - Blavatsky in her "Secret Doctrine" that Atlanteans were giant, and she has followers nowadays who believe that some dinosaur fossils are really human remains (one follower at least who I've chatted to on the www).

In reality there are no 20ft humans and there never have been, in fact humans have grown, not shrunk. Therefore no silent conspiracy either, I'm glad to say.

Anything is possible but I highly doubt it. Most people with gigantism experience symptoms like enlarged hearts, bad circulatory systems, and usually appear sluggish. There is one well know exception. Yao Ming is freakishly tall and yet runs around the basketball court constantly. Like I said anything is possible and their is always someone who makes the exception to any rule.

No, people can't grow that tall. And if they could, how and why would the government (all governments in the world?) keep it a secret????

No, our bodies are not engineered to take the strain of being that large. Consider that people who are unusually large (8ft+) tend to live short lives due to heart failure. Tall animals like giraffs have bodies refined by millions of years of evolution to be able to handle their size.

No, human bones and muscles are not strong enough to support a person that tall. People who are seven or eight tall all have problems.
