I see you were provided with some pretty concise answers. I wanted to add, you can get help through DOS on any command by typing /? after the command. For example you want help on xcopy. Type: c:\>xcopy /?

I know one command in DOS:
format C: (enter)
warning all data will be deleted are you sure to format? press (y)
ha ha ha ha joking...
the most useful commands are in DOS itself.
just type help and enter you will see the list of all commands.
