are we here ! or are we just part of the matrix, people can scoff but how can we be sure , we wake and work and sleep to a certain pre- set rythm , night and day , a true constant like a program. allows for many changes within but the end game is the same , death or release ? another world or another nightmare ,

my personal opinion is that humans are to earth, what bacteria are to soil or dirty sponges etc.
we simply exist because DNA has the ability to change and turn things into life.
how and why life started in the first place is a question science can not really answer. that's when religion and faith provide the best answers.
scientifically, we don't really have a purpose. but when you throw a God or creator into the equation, we do have some type of purpose.
