Try polymer clay.If you don't know what it is you are in for a treat. This colorful,easy-to-use oven-bake clay can be used to make miniatures,jewelery,to decorate home decor items,book covers and a multitude of other craft items. It is available on line and in craft stores. If you type POLYMER CLAY into your search engine you will not only find sources but clubs and magazines devoted to the stuff. WARNING: it can be addictive.But it is a terrific creative outlet.

Look into dollhouses. My grandmother used to make just one room and then other times she build the entire house. They were fantastic with electricity and all.

try artist trading cards, or altered art. they're really neat and pretty much anything goes for both (the only rule for atcs is that they're 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches). there are lots of yahoo groups for both and they're filled with people willing to share techniques, trade, etc.

make clothes....or like go to a fabric store and get material to make something you would like to wear. And if you start to like it you can make more clothes for yourself and look unique to because no one else has the same stuff as you make yourself
