Is it okay to be in the same room with guinea pigs when you are pregnant? They are in a cage and I didnt touch them.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Doctor's are worried mainly about cat feces and the changing of their litter boxes. But being in the same room with an animal won't hurt anything. I remember my first pregnancy, you become worried of all you do, but relax all's o.k.!

Guinea pigs are very clean creatures, you won't have a problem. If you want there might try to look into clean rooms and get one of those large white suits so nothing could every touch you. I mean come on honestly there is more harm in the air you are breathing that being in the same room as a guinea pig.

If it is a in a room that you dont use very often ask someone else to care for it and clean the cage.
One of the diseases is caused by a virus called LCMV (lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus). During pregnancy, LCMV infection can cause severe illness in the fetus. Serious problems can include excess fluid in the head (hydrocephalus), developmental problems, blindness and even death.
I personally would have one of my family members outside of the home take it until it is safe enough to come back into the house.

there is nothing wrong with being preggy and having guinea pigs i have 3 guinea pigs and 2 kids there all fine ... u have nothing to worry about

There's no problem with guinea pigs unless you have a cold, the piggy could catch it.
