Yes. It's very likely he's only out for sex, this will be a very unequal relationship and there may well be something wrong with the guy. For example he could have serious problems in the way he relates to adult women, and he could have a pathological need for control in a relationship. The student should steer clear of the doctor.

Well i do have to say how do you know the person is a doctor? not many people at 27 are doctors it takes them about 8 to ten years to finish everything! And to get hired. SO what I am thinking is if he is a new doc he does not have time to be dating anyway. Because these first years are demanding with shift changes and what not that he really would not have the time to be looking for a girlfriend. let alone a 17 year old. Most of them are mature enough to know that if they date someone of your age they will risk loosing everything they have accomplished.

Also you are too young for the kind of relationship this guy may want to have. Even if he has time it wont be much and you will spend most of your time alone! So if I were you I would have fun being 17 and being with guys more around my age group!

Don't hold me accountable, this isn't my forte, however i do belive personally that laws SUCK, well some of them. Thats because i want to live in utopia, the ideal world. The place i envision has no fools and has no predators. Unlike my utopia however, this world is crawling with shadow dwelers so to say. I've got nothing against it, age should not hold limitations, to a certain degree of course. However i believe there's some 5 year law, i'm not sure it's come up in conversation with my co-workers but i tend to be the one actually working and never listen in too much. Just remember against all science and all laws there is something we cannot put a chain on, the human heart. When you have decided you love someone, and they love you in return, regardless of the penalties you don't hold back, "regardless of warnings, the future doesn't scare you at all". While most people in this world are good hearted, sometimes misguided or misunderstood, but all the same good, there are the shadows who will try to hurt you. So don't create an impenitrable wall around yourself, but keep one finger on the trigger.

think about it, what does a 27 yearf old doctor want with a 17 year old child. It's obviuos he wants one thing and one thing only. If he's denying that it only for sex and that he loves you call his bluff tell him to marry you, or tell him you will not have sex until you are in the relationship a little longer tell him you want him to meet your whole entire family see what he says. Age isn't much of a factor as you get older.... key word: OLDER. 17 is much too young to be playing around with this type of age difference. There's very few things that would keep this relationship healthy, real or worthwhile.
