If you mean the ending, the kid's parents recognize his achievements, but make him come back down anyway because they have legal custody of him and want him to get back into school.
If you mean some kind of moral or other subtle implication, I don't know.

WILL YOU AND OTHERS ON THIS SITE PLEASE CAPITALIZE THE TITLES OF BOOKS!!!!!! These caps are intentional because I am shouting my request. Most who refer to books do not capitalize the titles!! That is elementary English!! AND, English is also always capitalized!!
