I have created a chart in my spreadsheet and I would like to format it but the only button that works on my chart toolbar is 'chart type'. I have tried clicking on the 'chart objects' button to display the drop down menu because I want to change the title but nothing happens.

Only the 'chart type' button is highlighted on the toolbar, all the rest are shaded if you know what I mean ( I'm unable to use the other buttons for some reason).

Can anyone PLEASE help, I need to finish this spreadsheet today.

Thankyou.

Go into the view menu, select toolbars and then make sure the chart toolbar is ticked.

Hope this works for you.

If this is MS Excel it sounds as if you may have protected the spreadsheet. Go to tools>protection and unprotect it. If it asks for a password put it in, if you dont have it, you can always copy the sheet to a new one, and then modify it and save it as a different file name.;o) Good luck!

if you just want to change the name of the file, save the file to your desktop, then right click on the file and rename it

cheers
