Make sure that you know what program/college you want to transfer into. You can talk to an advisor at your new college to see how your existing credits will transfer (some might not). Make sure that it's worth it to transfer - if you're paying for college out of pocket, then lost credits = lost money. Also, if you're receiving financial aide, dropping your classes may affect what you get for help next semester. Are you dropping because you're failing or you found a much better program somewhere else? Or do you just hate it there? There are a lot of things to consider before leaving a college program, so just spend some time looking before you leap.

Good luck!!!

Talk to your advisor. If you don't know who that is, call the department and ask them (Dept of Arts and Sciences for example)

Your councelor. If they can't take care of it they can direct you to someone who can.
