Liverpool is a city on the river Mersey in the North-West of England. It is most famous for its soccer club Liverpool FC.

The word is sometimes used to describe fine antique porcelain manufactured in the city in the 18th century, but this is a very rare use of the term these days.

Liver where some mythical birds that were supposed to reside there...hence the name Liverpool
