I think it's a reasonable question. We know why skin colour is so, why not the shape of a particular part that is peculiar to a specific race? To the other answers don't let pc hysteria straitjacket natural human curiosity.

Asians have evolved like that due to the climate. Thousands of years ago, many of these Asians lived in cold, mountainous regions, and the weather was particularly bad during winter. From generation to generation, though, their upper eyelids grew another layer of skin, resulting in them being larger, so that they could see better during the harsh winters. That's how they've ended up like that. I could prove it, because if you take a look at the eyes of Inuit people, they're rather like Asian eyes, too.

It's in part to do with the climate - they have a larger fold of skin on the top eyelid which protected their against the harsh elements (similar to Inuit people). They don't have 'slant' eyes. Try a little sensitivity before you make sweeping, insulting statements. It's like saying 'why are all blonds so fu*king stupid?' when in reality, it just applies to you.

they don't have tiny eyes and really dont have bypass eyes. Its only a genetic trait. Asian peoples were in extremely of a closed inhabitants for a lengthy time period. The trait likely became dominant.

No not to see better. They developed an extra fold of skin on their eyelids (I forget the name) to help keep snow out of their eyes in colder climates.

Hell no, don't be silly. This actually stereotypes Asians, you know that? Many do have big beautiful eyes. And the shape and size of eyes won't affect your vision.

it juz happens that they're eyes are formed from centuries of evolution (if that ever happens) juz like your eyes are formed. all of us can see well cant we? our eyes are technically the same and it does not take bigger eyes to see better since we are all humans. unless you are thinking that you compare europeans with asians just like you compare cats with hamsters.
