While I was being driven to the office we saw a truck with 2 bumper stickers. One said "Bush/Cheney '04" and the other one had a confederate flag and it said "We were the ones who fought the first Terrorists". Yeha, does that mean that the Union army during the civil war were terrorists? Yeha ya'll.

I just want to clear a few things up..... Not all Southerners are Rednecks. I was born and raised below the Mason-Dixon line, and yes although we do have some who take the southern pride idea a little too far....most of us appreciate our Southern values and heritage in other ways. There is nothing wrong with having Southern Pride, and the Confederate flag was carried by our ancestors (some of which gave their life) fighting for a cause they believed whole-heartily. Whether it is right or wrong is not up for a debate right now, but I just wanted to explain that not all southerners are the "redneck close-minded racists" you seem to portraying and mocking. Just wanted to clear that up.
P.s. not all southerners support Bush!
P.s.s. There are a good amount of Yankees that come down to the southern states for travel (and sometimes end up moving down here because they love it), but I have definitely seen some Northern Rednecks....and too me that is ten times worse....yuck no manners, and their voice could be used for torture AHHHHH!
I also want to give major kudos to the comment made by "birdsnakecat" about the carpet bagging Yankee terrorist! Great example, and good thinking! (I can't give the answer a good rating, because I am not level 2. But I definitely would if I could!)

Why sure. If you study history the North was an invading force to the South. They blockaded the South's port,cut communication and told them you do it our way or not at all. The war was not about slavery it was politics.
