Make sure you put down weed and feed properly becuase that should help some. Make sure you cut the grass and get about 2 days new growth. Water the yard and then put down weed and feed. Put down some good fertilizer and try to let your grass squeeze out alot of the weeds, but you may do some individual pulling. On occassion, I'll use some diluted RoundUp and spray individual plants, but this kills everything and it takes about 3-4 weeks for the grass to come back in.

Other than that, you can kill the whole yard and start over from sod. That always gets good results if done properly.

mow,mow and mow. Broad leaf weeds will starve and die if you mow enough and low enough. Cheapest way to eradicate. You can get weed killer that won't harm your grass, or so it says. I never had much luck with chemicals. My lawn is great by just mowing all the time- especially in spring. Sodium nitrate will make your grass a beautiful dark green and promote growth. Grass will eventually kill the weeds...Good luck with lawn.

Try to fertalize this year. It chokes out the crab grass. Do not mow the lawn leaving only less than an inch (blade of grass) on the ground.
