try to find a shampoo with goats milk. my son has eczema too and i got him goats milk soap and it really helped. maybe try massaging baby oil into the affected area, leave it on overnight and wash off in the morning before work. Seems like the hard hat is irritating it, maybe making him sweat.

He most possibly has psoriasis which is the word applied in
humans, eczema is usually applied in animals. Cortisone
injection or cream should help but I am sorry to say that
this is an incurable problem and not a disease "per se".
Usually it is heredetary, sun can help but, seriously, I
think it best to see a Dermatologist for a check up since,
if it is psoriasis, it tends to get worse with age and the
best time for treatment is NOW.

I would definitely try tea tree shampoo by Paul Mitchell at your local Walgreens. Or, if you can find the shampoo with tea tree oil in it by American crew, that will work too. It worked for me wonderfully!

If you are sure it is an exema, there is also ANTIGEN like a reason for it.You have to find the antigen (most often contact dermatitis because of chemicals).
Appropriate therapy is Corticosteroid local therapy for short period.
