i don't know how to tell if the turtle is preg unless you take her to a vet but you can take a box and have lots of sand in there so if she is preg she has a place to lay her eggs

A good way of telling is by looking at their hind legs. If the skin between their legs and shell seems to be whiter than normal, and bulges out more than normal, it's actually the eggs pressing against the skin.

field turtles do no longer grow to be pregnant, they grow to be gravid. there is purely 2 the type to tell for advantageous if she is gravid. a million. take her to a vet for x-rays 2. she lays eggs the rest might in simple terms be a guess. whether you spot breeding, it would not propose she will have the capacity to grow to be gravid.

As the eggs develop, she will become heavier and start to bulge out near her hind legs and tail. Sometimes you can even see the eggs.
