If you could choose a conventional name, to suit yourself, what would it be and why...?

For any 'conventional' name I would choose my own, Alwyn should hopefully qualify. I could say I would have wanted to be called Johann, after Goethe, who wrote my favourite poem 'Erlkö***', or Christopher after Marlowe, who was in all likeliness the real Shakespeare, perhaps even Denis. My life is much endebted to either of them, so to carry their name name would I suppose be fitting. As a parent though, how could you guess the name most appropriate, and if you could, would you chose it indeed? I might have been called Denis, after all Blondie was number 1 in the Dutch charts with the song of that name when I was born. I wouldn't really have minded much, though probably my parents thought better of it. At this moment, "Boten Anna" is number one in the same charts, and though I like the song I wouldn't want to be called Anna.

Afterall, I'm quite alright with the name I was given, as I think Alwyn is just about common enough to be understood, and just rare enough to be remembered. As you prove though, perhaps you don't even a name to be remembered, where a well said 'Pssst..." could suffice.
