You must have some interest or you wouldn't be considering it. I think it's great. Can't hurt to try anyway, right?

Good Luck!

The different states have different levels of expectancy, so make sure first that the state you want to study in is high. In California there's a school called 5 Branches, that is mostly responsible for making acupuncture primary care. Check it out, it's really good!

Acupuncture is one of the oldest medicinal arts in the world. Learning to utilize it to relieve the pains of patients is something you cannot take lightly. You must consider if you wish to perform acupuncture for the rest of your life, and if you are willing to do so, then you will be ready to study the art for three years.

have you ever been to an acupuncturist?
I am a chiropractor & was amazed to find a few students in my class that had never been to a chiropractor before signing up for a 4 year post grad program.... (not saying you haven't been to one)
if you've done your research, been treated, know what its like, know how much they charge, what a typical day is like, how much money they make, how much school will cost, etc etc etc, then go for it.
if you still have unanswered Q's then postpone your admission until next semester. I'm sure they will allow that.
good luck

Great, you should study it. After being acupunturist for 3 years, you can get a licence "specialist". You also have to study about anatomy, pathology, physiology, to be accupunturist. Try to be a proffesional assitance first.

You can make your decision based on your feeling or on your thoughts (or both). I would say: "Follow your heart". It will be your own decision and that is good. The decision is not important but the path you will be going after is important, your experiences and things you learn. Take care.

How on earth can we know what you're suited to?

Make the choice yourself... that's what life is... a series of personal choices.
