Natural disaters happen. No governement can guarantee someone's home or existance. These people made bad choices for moving in an area that is below sea level anyway. It seem like these people expect the government to take care of every little thing. Almost like the governement ows them......

Most of the people in New Orleans were poor, and yeah, poor people expect free stuff from the government more than you or I do.

But that's what we as society get from giving poor people handouts instead of helping them climb higher up the ladder.

I disagree with you. The response time to the disaster was horrendous. FEMA exists to assist in disaster situations and they dropped the ball. As a result, many people lost their lives. I am not from New Orleans, nor have I lived through a disaster of that magnitude. I cannot even begin to imagine how those people feel, but I think it's awful that the response time was so slow. This was one of the worst disasters in U.S. history, and as a taxpayer I expect assistance if I needed it. Is it also a bad choice to live in Oklahoma because of tornadoes, or in California because of earthquakes???

If the people of New Orleans would roll up their sleeves and pick up a shovel instead of sniveling about the government not doing enough, they could vastly improve their situation. But what can be expected from the people in an area poisoned by liberal ideology?

No, it is not just you, there are other idiots that have never been though something so devastating, maybe the old saying walk in their moccasins would apply here, until you you do, don't worry about it. When you do I am sure that you will be there to help others in a similar situation.

It's just you!

Will you still feel the same if your home was lost to a Natural disaster?

I doubt it!

You have the mentality of a roach and a heart to match!

They whine, but do it with Dixieland music accompaniment.

Other than the hurricane itself, most of the fault of the levee break was the corruption of local politicians who sqandered federal funds meant to maintain the levees.

... is pitty dead?

the thing that I don't get... God/fate has a history of humbling arrogant people that make comments like the one you made, read the Bible or history... you may as well go out and play golf in a thunderstorm with your attitude...

those who don't have pitty are often shown it's importance... and that's not an easy lesson...

Are you saying the parents of the missing children who got swept away by the flood waters are whiners, or the childen of the missing parents who got swept away by the floodwaters are whiners?

Why are you whining about it anyway?
