I'm looking for a first dance song that is slightly more metal or rock then classic ballads. Any suggestions? My financee and I like bands such as Opeth, Lacuna Coil, Iron Maiden, etc he tends to listen to much harder and faster stuff to so I want to have a song that is symbolic of of love for music.

My hubby was a rocker when we got married, but we took it in a whole different direction, and our first dance was to "Only You" by The Platters.
Also "This Night" by Billy Joel was our video background music, since he played keys in a band in those days.
I thought when I went to my cousin's wedding it was really cool, because one of the piano player's tunes while we were waiting on the bridal party was"Beth" by Kiss. That was most unusual, but it was very unique.
"If I close My Eyes Forever" is about suicide, if I'm not mistaken. Not much of a wedding song. It is a good tune though.

You had me from hello by Bon Jovi

At the mirror you fix your hair and put your makeup on
You're insecure about what clothes to wear
I can't see nothing wrong

To me you look so beautiful when you can't make up your mind
It's half past eight, it's getting late
It's OK, take your time

Standing here my hands in my pockets
Like I have a thousand times
Thinking back it took one breath
One word to change my life

Chorus:
The first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello

When we walk into a crowded room it's like we're all alone
Everybody tries to kidnap your attention
You just smile and steal the show

You come to me and take my hand
We start dancin' slow
You put your lips up to my ear and whisper way down low

Chorus:
From the first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello

And when you're laying down beside me
I feel your heartbeat to remind me...

Chorus:
The first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello

From hello
From hello

Well, "White Wedding," by Billy Idol might be a bit soft and sentimental. "I Just Want You" by Black Sabbath is slightly rock. How about "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica?
