I've heard from my doctor that girls who start their periods early go into menopause much later, like 55. Girls who have their first period at say 17 will go into early monopause. But I know someone who got her period at 9 and she's now 40 and her cycle has stopped. I got my first period at 13 and1/4. My cycles are fairly regular still 28-32 days average. They are typically on a Sunday. I'm not on the pill. I'm trying to conceive.

But you carry your eggs from birth not from the time you enter puberty. Anyway, you're probably right. The age my mother went into menopause is probably a key factor except she refuses to tell me!

The best determination of when a woman will go through menopause is when her mother went through menopause. That being said, more girls are starting their periods at younger ages. You've got it backwards, women only have a finite # of eggs, so the earlier you start (younger you are when you first get your period), the sooner or younger you will probably be when you start menopause. If you are concerned, have your Dr. check your hormone levels.

The menopause occurs between the ages of 45 and 50. The average age of onset is 47. Because of the improvement in general health and and environmental conditions of women , now the onset of menopause is later than what it was thirty years ago. Occasionally in some women it may occur as early as in 30 yrs of age. It has nothing to with the age when you got your first period.

There is no correlation between the onset of menses and the cessation. There is no way to predict age at menopause from age at onset. There are some tests available that measure hormone levels that may be of help. Some are over the counter, but more reliable to ask your doctor if you are concerned.

Yes if you have period at 13 you get menopause at 45, if 14 you get at 46, if 16 you get at 47, and so on. Also at 50 if you have baby it will b born with the gloids.

No. The timing of your first menses is set by using a mixture of your weight loss software and your hormones. Menopause starts off while your estrogen (the 'lady'hormone) levels shrink, as your physique will become much less fit for replica.

your mother's menopause is not yours. my mom went thru menopause at age 27. I'm still having regular periods at 42. and you are right for some reason girls who start later end sooner.
