This past year I lost about 45 pounds and without a shirt I looked alright (6'3" 175lbs) but whenever I put on an old shirt I look like my old self again. It looks like the abdominal region of the shirts are huge and it makes me look huge. So I went out shopping and got some new clothes but they fit the same! Anybody else have this problem?

You might want to ask for some help in getting the proper fit for your shirts. Sometimes after a relatively large weight loss we have a hard time judging the correct size clothing to buy.

You might also want to consider tapered, or fitted shirts which would have less material in the abdominal area.

At 6'3' and 175 lbs you're actually underweight, So I can't imagine you looking out of proportion or your clothes fitting strangely. You need to choose the style of your shirts more carefully/ Some clothes just look bad on certain body types - Maybe you are top heavy and so the bottom billows out a bit.

Since you've rid yourself of 45 lbs. your frame is now smaller. When you go shopping again, try on smaller sizes beginning with your 'old' size and decreasing the sizes until you get the correct fit. It's difficult to perceive how much you body has changed and easy to fall into dressing habits from before any weight loss. Go shopping again and have fun with it!
