The sun is a mass of incandescent gas,
a gigantic nuclear furnace
Where Hydrogen is built into Helium
at a temperature of millions of degrees.

The sun is hot,
the sun is not
a place where we could live.

But here on Earth,
there'd be No Life
without the light it gives.

The sun is hot.
The sun is so hot that everything on it is a gas,
Aluminum, copper,Iron, carbon, and many others.

The sun is large
The sun is so large that a million Earths would fit inside...
and yet...
it is only a medium-sized star.

The sun is far away...
About 93 million miles away and that's why it looks so small!

Once upon a time a long time ago amongst a celestial system that grew a lot of beans there was produced one load of Gas. The source of the Sun's energy is the gas that beans produce. Stinks too!

sun's ultimate source of energy is the fusion that is taking place in it between the hydrogen atoms leading to the creation of 1 helium atom and producing a large amount of energy. this helium again undergo further reaction for the formation of some even heavier element(i don't remember the name) which is inert in nature.
After billions of years, even sun will extinguish bcoz it will turn into a white draft(last stage of sun is called so).
