My neighbors are black and the most wonderful people you could ever hope to meet. It has nothing to do with the color of your skin. On the other hand while going into the pharmacies down the street watching young gangsters make sexual comments to the young girls walking in makes me sick. It would matter if they were black or white. But those guys scare me because they are probably packing. The whole thing comes down to assimilation. No one in my neighborhood looks at me as being German. Why? Because I don’t goose step or talk in German on the street. As long as some black people keep to their sub culture of gimpy walk and ebonix they won’t be accepted. I know this is a small percentage of the population but they will forever stain the rest of the people who do or want to blend it. It is the same with Latino as well. I have neighbors that are Cuban. I don’t look at them as Cuban or anything other than American and they don’t speak Spanish around the rest of and laugh.. It is all about assimilation. I am color blind but cultural boundaries persist regardless of color.
Oh we need to get rid of quotas and the Black EnterTainment channel as well (Can you imagine the shock if someone started The White Entertainment Channel). As those distinctions breed contempt. We are all the same with the same opportunities for jobs, entertainment, etc.
God bless of all us white, black, red, yellow, etc.

Why do you think white people hate black people?
Is it because of slavery?
If you trace almost any race back far enough in time their ancestors were enslaved by someone else greeks romans egyptians. Some Africans still enslave other Africans but they not all doing it.
Slavery in the U.S. ended over 140 years ago there are no living blacks in America that were enslaved nor whites that enslaved them. Neither you nor any member of your family were enslaved. Secondly the bloodiest war in American history cost 600,000 lives and was fought to end slavery. Most of those people who died were white. Sure some people hate blacks, some people hate chinese, some people hate whites.
Feeling victimised by the past only hurts your own chances for a better future because you spend so much energy on things you have no control over. It makes white people feel defensive which doesn't help either. Let the idea of black people as slaves fade into the past. Let the idea of good people thrive no matter what race they are.
America has enough enemies in the world, we should not fight each other over a past we cannot change no matter how despicable it was.

You have to put this into consideration. WE didn't enslave YOU! Our Ancestors did what they did and that has ABSOLUTLY NOTHING to do with people now! YOU were never Enslaved you've been free your whole life.
And White people dont HATE black people, You assume it. I also dont like the fact that you think because of what our Ancestors did we Owe you something? That would be why some of the respect levels arn't there.
To each their own though. Alot of people were raised to hate other races. A Pretty messed up life I'd say. but what can ya do. There's alot of Black people that hate white people? Why would they hate white people? There is never a real explaination for this kind of question, It will just raise more questions!

One way to over simplify this, is to understand the concept of the "few apples" ruining the barrel. I believe, like others, that the perception of the "thug" black is taken as the first mental image that comes to mind for non-blacks. I personally, think very highly of the black friends I've had. As a white person, I grew up in a pretty racially balanced/motivated area of this country, Southern California.
Having known so many people of many different walks of life, I have found one constant, that is, a**holes come in all colors. There's no race that has all great people and nothing wrong.
We need to stamp out bigotry and racism. Learn to start evaluating PEOPLE as who they are and not what they are and after all of that happens.
WE will need to forgive the sins of the past and move forward.
Just for a few bits of history:
During slavery there was a small percentage of blacks that owned slaves - Honestly, research it.
In Africa, europeans were being utilized in a "white" slave trade.
Africans aided the Europeans in "obtaining" slaves. European's immunities were not up to African disease standards.
*Now, I dont' say this to justify the slave trade. I only bring this information forward to show that all people have been guilty of discretions against their fellow man.
Think of the Genocide of the Jews, Armenians, Palestinians (by the Lebanese Maronite Christian militias), Yugoslavians, Sudan (darfur) etc...
Ignorance has caused many races to pay a horrible price to be different.

It isn't an inclusive thing. Some white folk are just hate filled, as are some ebony folk. I don't hate you or anyone else. I'm lily white! Fish belly white! I'm so white I'm Irish pink! No hate here friend, your a person; just like me. Our skin tone is meaningless. What we contain in our hearts is the important part. I hope your not getting jerked around because of this, times moved on and people have to lay this stuff down; we really are just one species. Forgive the ignorant if you can, people get turned around; don't feed the fire with hate; it can't burn without new fuel! All good things to your doorstep, and a life without doubt.

Because bigotry is passed on from one generation to another. I think it is improving but it will take some more time to get more people to be accepting of all people whether or not they are the same race as them. I grew up in California where there is probably the least amount of racism because there is every race under the sun there. I have friends from every race under the sun and I do not dislike anyone based on their race.

Us? Were you enslaved for 100 yrs?
Why do Hutu and Tutsi hate and kill each other?
Some people dislike anyone different to themselves, be it a different name or distant relative.
Do you know that I've never seen a white or black person in my life? Plenty with melanen in different quantities though.
Good luck with your chip.

Not All White people hate Blacks, I am white, I dont hate blacks,
You are "generalizing"
Hate is s strong word, and it is overused.
I dislike very much, the Gang-bang lifestyle, the Thug mentality, that seems to be dominate in some black community's
Just as I dislike the racial hatred displayed in some White orginazations like the KKK and Neo Nazis who's narrow view and blind hatred has brainwashed them into a dangerous ideology.

As always Fear of Something they know nothing about. If some 'haters' gave 1/2 the chance, they would realize common interests, goals, and lifestyles. But, its all in the fear of not knowing and not learning. Like our history preaches that they enslaved, their history preaches dominate fear. But I still have a faith that not all white folks are the same, but the numbers of those who are 'cool' and those that hate, unfortunately are not equal.

Its not that at all. Most white people are no longer racist and have nothing against Black people. They feel it is the black people who have a chip on their shoulder and 'if the shoe fits wear it, kind of thing'. But Whites stereotype Blacks as the thugs, muggers and killers/ that for some unfortunate reason seem to be comprised of mostly blacks making a bad name for themselves and all the good Blacks. So people not just Whites as is human nature find it easier to generalize an entire race rather than rate them on individual merits. There are plenty of straight-arrow Good Black people who are just as annoyed with the thug like behaviour of Their brothers.
