depends on whether it's not appropriate for the event we are attending or just not appropriate in his eyes!

As I was reading the answers its funny how everyone assumes that you were talking revealing clothing. Maybe you were or maybe the person was objecting to the clothing because what you were wearing didn't go together or was not a complimentary color for you ect. I would probably change to please the person I was with unless I really liked what I was wearing alot or had nothing to change into at that moment.

I'll be different. Yes, I probably would...depending on the reason. Mine might say my outfit was a little too revealing, and he'd probably be right. Sometimes you see yourself differently in the mirror than other people see you, and I trust his judgement, after all that is why he's my partner, because I respect and value his opinion. And of course, I would like to think that the way I look-no matter what I'm wearing will make him happy, but if I'm dressed respectfully that will make us both happy.

Yes, I would definitely change, I suck at picking out my own clothes.
But he better take me shopping too, so that he can help me before I spend his money on the clothes that I don't look good in.
