Your late payments will show up, but it will not show as a repossession (after a period of time). It might take a couple of months for the report to update!!!
It is a very good idea to pay the bill and get the car back!!!

You have to pay off the balance and request a statement from the loan holder saying that your debt is settled. Then send a copy to the major credit reporting agencies, like Equifax. I think there are three agencies. Then, it will be removed from your report, or at least it will no longer count against your credit.

yes. It will show for 2 reasons. 1. it is a repo. 2. for them to Repo your car, you would have to have been behind on your payments, and that will show on your credit report.
Pay to get your car back and keep current on your payments, it will help your credit improve.
