did you recognise the boy called Raymond who sang a Dean Martin song as the boy who was once in Brookside? Did the judges not know as they never mentioned it? What was his character called? He was always getting bullied. His gran was Pearl from Emmerdale!!!!!!!!

No you are right, can't remember the character name - but he was definitely bullied!
What makes me laugh about that audition is that the judges (as you say) didn't mention his previous experience, but praised him for giving a polished and professional performance and said how good he was for his age.
It's a fairly safe bet that the lad had been in a stage school since the age of 7 at least and had been trained to within an inch of his life (hence the confidence) - so actually - with 10 years training I didn't think much of his audition - a lot of people can do impressions of famous singers - it's called bad karaoke!

His character was called Anthony Murray, his step-mum was played by Bernadette Nolan. On the Xtra Factor it was mentioned by Ben Shepherd that he used to be in Brookside

he was the actor from brookside as he spoke with ben in the extra factor on itv3 sorry i dont know his name from brookside.
