Hello I wonder if anyone can confirm this question regarding our generous Social Security system here in the UK.

We're all used to these gentlemen ( persons of varying economic status) who sit in shop doorways in the hope of being given money. On may occasions they are accompanied by a dog which may or may not evoke additional sympathy.
But is it true- as I have recently been told- that these people actually claim an extra allowance for their dogs from the DSS? .. I have heard the figure of 40 pounds per week mentioned, but I find this hard to believe.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

they are called street homeless or rough sleepers initiative, extra payments are certainly not as much as 40 quid and not automatic, law has changed a bit since I last has to access this info for some one, shelter or a similar homeless forum would have up to date info on this.. if they are registered as disabled then payments for dogs can be claimed.. not sure it's a across the board automatic right though..

If they're homeless they're not getting any benefits as you need an address to claim.

If they have got an address no there's no such thing as a benefit for pets.

The only thing I can possibly think they're entitled to is help from the PDSA which is a charity and has nothing to do with the government.

I have never heard of it myself and find it difficult to believe. After all, rescue centres can't get that for their dogs.
I can neither confirm or deny - but I can say that I don't think that it is true.

canine easily go extra by using the tone of our voices than the easily words. canine growl while they are afraid and can chew. we are in a position to *instruct* canine what some words recommend in the process the technique of training. in any different case, they do no longer understand our words yet then so few human beings understand canine' physique language.

I don't think it will be true. Put it this way, if it was all these benefit cheats and scroungers would have dogs!
