What have you done for the previous 8?? First, TELL her you love her. If you do that regularly, cool. 9 years is good but I'm assuming you believe you'll last to 10, 15, 20, 30, etc. So, don't go overboard on a romantic statement. Consider being more practical. What's her favorite thing to do? What thing does she love to do but you rarely do because you're not so crazy about it? Do that. If it's a walk, it's a walk. The symphony? A chick flick she'd love to see and you don't go to those much? There ya go. Whatever it is, make sure you do something that shows that you put more emphasis on her than on yourself. Oh, and, don't forget. Whatever you do this year sets the level for next so hold off on the Alaskan Cruise for awhile.

the best way you can tell your wife that you love her would be by being considerate and thoughtful. you have been together for 9 years, so i assume you know a lot about each other. if she is a hardworking housewife, take her for a vacation. if she is adventurous, then take her out for bunge jumping or something. surprise her and think about the surprise.

Well, what to get her is very personal and has everything to do with her and your taste. But once you have that figured out accompany it with a bouquet of beautiful flowers in a nice vase, a sentimental card, look her straight in the eyes and say:
"I Love You!!!!"

Make a list of all the things you think are wonderful about her. Then
take her to dinner, and tell her about those things (don't READ FROM THE LIST). Then, for as long as you can manage it, remember to listen when she talks to you, and try NOT to do the little irritating things she complains about.
