Unfortunately, I do that on a constant basis. I will admit that I have a memory problem, that alone drives me nuts. I live in a very large 5 bedroom house. If I need something upstairs, by the time I get to the room, I already forgot why I was going there in the first place, especially if I don't hurry and keep the reason why right on the top of my mind without thinking of anything else. I have several times walked into a room and can't remember why. I see so much along the way, that by the time I get to the room, I can't remember why.
What I really dislike is when I'm downstairs and need something from upstairs in one of the rooms. OK, I go upstairs and look in the rooms. Oooooppss forgot what I was going to get. Back downstairs again. Oh yes, now I remember. Back upstairs again to get whatever it is. I'll get the laundry while I'm upstairs. Go back downstairs. Oh sh--. I forgot to get it again. Back upstairs, and hopefully this time I have success. (not always) And I wonder why there aren't enough hours in the day to get my things done!!!!

Ya, many times. But it isnt at all abnormal. Its just bcoz ur mind was thinking about something else with the result that u forget the cause of ur arrival in the room. If u have the same problem, feel free bcoz its nothing to worry about. Just stay focussed & try to concentrate on what u r doing at the present moment.

yes i have...

When I was trying to learn play the guitar, I thought of getting the guitar chords sheet in our room but when I got there I don't know what I'm supposed to do there... so i tried to go back to places i went before there and the second time i went to our room i remembered why and got it... that's it...

they say that this happens because of the way we eat... if we eat a lot less then what we are used to eat before we tend to be like that, forgetfull...

Yep. For me it was called extreame stress and fatigue. My mind finally shut down. Ended up seeing a shrink and that quit happening. It can also happen as a side effect of some antihistamines. Taking a new allergy pill??

sometimes it happens due to lapse of concentration I walked into a supermarket and forgot what to buy I went around the store watching every thing available and then finally after 30 minutes of roaming got it as a razor that I needed.

Yes, I have to go back to where I came from to remember what I went in there to get in the first place.
It doesn't happen often, usually just when I'm overburdened with life.

Many times ! I believe it happens when we are thinking about too many things at one time . I call it a white out, because if I go back to where I started out at I usually can remember what it was .
