I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but some messages are "surprising"

No I get them all the time. I get hateful ones and nice ones. I'm use to it tho cause of all the hate mail I been getting the pass years off the groups. I just delete it and go on....After I reply! lol
I like hearing what people think and feel.

It doesn't surprise me to be contacted, receiving degrading or inappropriate comments or requests and flattering comments as well. This is as natural as the real world...
As of now, it is natural to me seeing the most bizarre questions, reflecting twisted minds filled with perverted creativity.
Does not surprise me being impersonated or seeing others affected by the malady.
Doesn't surprise me the same obnoxious people are over and over again with new accounts.
Visiting and interacting with different countries in the yahoo site, led me to learn America loves being the core of the attention, that surprises me and sorry but that sucks.....

Yes, it does surprise me. I have not had any negetive responses, usually to either explain in a little more detail, or just to say "Thank you". I'm surprised and pleased to know that I may have helped someone. The problem I have is that I cannot remember everyone so unless they give me a hint on the question that I answered, I don't know who they are or what the question was so I have to look it up.

Earlier i used to be surprised, but not anymore since i get many messages from other users! Its fun actually, and a good way to get to know people and make new friends from all over the world... Sometimes its a Thank You note for a question i answered or somtimes its Hate Mail for an answer, LOL!

Sometimes I don't have a clue what the person is referring to. Someone emailed me and said "Hi fatty" and I have no idea what would provoke that. Most people who contact me though are nice and while it is a surprise, it brings a smile to my face.

It surprised me the first time, but now I'm used to it. Although, I contacted someone & I think I really ticked him off. He had said that I was crazy, so I contacted him & chewed him out for it!

I really don't like the negative comments. ouch. they kinda sting. I find this really enjoyable as a way to knock the dust outta the ordinary day by day grind.

It did surprise me initially...but now i'm getting all kinds of mails and mostly enjoy reading them even though I'm not replying to most of them !

I won't embarrass the person by naming them, but someone mistook me for a lesbian --- even asking for a photo. That was a surprise.
