I want to finish my BS in Criminal Justice ONLINE. What do you know about Kaplan University? It's my understanding that they give credit for experience. How do their tuition rates compare? Are here any comparable schools or do you have any suggestions? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

If a college or university is giving credit for experience, you automatically know that it is nothing more than a diploma mill, and employers will not even consider any degree you earn there. There is a reason why college is hard work, and expensive--the benefits and rewards of obtaining a degree from a reputable institution are vast. Employers aren't stupid, they know which universities are worth their weight and which ones aren't. You can't get around the "hard work" part of any degree.

Hi guys,

Well it really depends and as you can see form other replies here, Kaplan university really has some mixed opinions. Either way, if you are interested in a distance degree(such as a BS in criminal justice), I would always recommend to check out some local community colleges. If you want to look into other online schools that are reputable and regionally accredited, you might want to have a look here:

Maybe this helps some of you to find a great school.
